Developing Competent, Ethical, and Confident Behavior Analysts
At Breakthrough Developmental Services, we believe supervision is about more than meeting certification requirements. It is an opportunity to develop the knowledge, skills, professional judgment, and confidence needed to succeed as a behavior analyst.
We provide supervision for individuals pursuing certification through the BACB, IBAO, and QABA Board. We also offer competency assessments for individuals pursuing the Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential.
Our supervision program combines structured fieldwork guidance, professional mentorship, competency development, and practical experience to help supervisees grow into effective practitioners and future leaders in the field.

Supervision Options
Within Agency Supervision
Within Agency Supervision is available to individuals working with Breakthrough Developmental Services. Supervisees are assigned to clients with the goal of providing diverse learning experiences across settings, skills, and populations. This approach allows individuals to gain practical experience while receiving ongoing supervision and support.
Outside of Agency Supervision
Outside of Agency Supervision is available to individuals who are completing fieldwork outside of Breakthrough Developmental Services. Under this arrangement, supervisees secure their own clients and receive supervision in accordance with the requirements of their credentialing board. Supervision services are billed directly to the supervisee and are tailored to support their professional goals and fieldwork experience.
Before You Begin
We want every supervisee to begin their experience with a clear understanding of the certification process, supervision expectations, and professional responsibilities. Prior to beginning supervision, prospective supervisees should:
- Review supervision requirements for their credentialing board
- Complete the Pre-Experience Checklist
- Review the Tip Sheet for Supervised Experience
- Review the FAQs for the Monthly Experience System
- Participate in an informed consent and supervision orientation meeting
- Review the applicable Test Content Outline and identify areas of strength and growth
While not all of these steps are required by the credentialing boards, they help ensure that supervisees begin their fieldwork experience prepared for success.
Please note that supervision is much like an additional course of study. Meaningful professional growth requires time, preparation, participation, and dedication.
